Aluminium Sulphate 17% Industrial Use Water Treatment Chemical
Aluminum Sulfate Applications
The list of uses of aluminum sulfate is very long, including pesticides in the garden, bulk agent of paper in papermaking, and foaming agent in fire extinguishers. The water purification plant relies on aluminum sulfate to remove impurities. The chemical reaction between it and the pollutant causes the pollutant to solidify and be filtered out. Sodium aluminum sulfate is found in baking powder, self elevating flour, cake and muffin mixture. It is used in many industries and serves various purposes.
Storage and Transportation Methods
Aluminum sulfate has been listed as a hazardous substance by the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA). During storage, it shall be labeled with hazardous chemicals and placed in a cool and dry area away from other chemicals and substances. After being taken out of the warehouse, the area must be cleaned, swept and thoroughly cleaned, and treated with appropriate solvents. Care should be taken in wet areas containing aluminum sulfate. Because of their water absorption, they become very slippery.
